Article

যে Word গুলো (a,an,the) Noun বা Pronoun এর পূর্বে বসে ঐ Nouun বা Pronoun কে নির্দষ্ট বা অনির্দষ্ট করে বোঝায় তাই  Article.

Article ২ প্রকারঃ-

১। Definite --- নির্দষ্ট   à The

২। Indefinite --- অনির্দষ্ট  à a,an

A/an এর ব্যবহারঃ-

R-1:-  শব্দের প্রথমে Vowel sound হলেই an বসে ।

যেমনঃ- An honest, An heir (এয়ার) উত্তরাধিকার, An M.P, An L.L.B,  An F.R.C.S

•        I have an orange .
•        His uncle is an M.B.B.S

R.2:- কিন্তুVowel এর উচ্চারণ ইউ(you) অথবা ওয়া(w) এর মতো হলে A বসে।

 A union, A university, A eulogy, A unique, A uniform, A European, A ewe, A unanimous (ইউন্যানিমাচ) অপরিচিত, A one, [ব্যাতিক্রম The universal]

R.3:-A,E,H,I,L,M,O,R,S,X দ্বারা শুরু সকল (Abreviation) সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপ এর পূর্বে An বসে ।

R.4:- অপরিচিত বা সম্মানিত ব্যক্তির ক্ষেত্রে (Mr,Miss,Mrs) এদের পূর্বে A বসে ।

যেমনঃ-

• ·       Mr Gaurav has been arrested

***ঐ রকম একজন বা কারর মতো বোঝাতে A/an বসে। ***

(Proper noun) এর পূর্বে।

•        He wants to be a Shakespeare.
•        You are a nojrul , I see.
•        A Newton is not born every year.

R.5:- Few, little, lot of, good many, good deal, great many ইত্যাদির পূর্বে Aবসে।

যেমনঃ-

·       A great many student attend the test.

R.6:- কিছু কিছু Pharase এ A/an বসে।

In a nut shell , in a body , in a hurry , in a fix, in a temper, to take an interest.

যেমনঃ-

·       I saw a one eyed man.

·       He is an unwise men.

·       He is always in temple.

·       Many A man was present there.

·       He goes out for a walk.

·       What short of a man he is!

·       There is a University in Kushtia.

The  এর ব্যবহার

R.1:- দুই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর মধ্যে ভালো-মন্দের তুলনা বোঝালে Adjective এর Comparative degree এর পূর্বে the  বসে।

যেমনঃ- he is the better of two boys.

 R.2:- তারিখ বা দিকের নামের পূর্বে the বসে।

• The 16^th December, the East

R.3:- জাতি, সম্প্রদায় বা দলের নামের পূর্বে the বসে।

 যেমনঃ- 

• the Bangladeshi are brave

 R.4:- একই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর মধ্যে তুলনা বোঝালে যার সাথে তুলনা করা হয় তার পূর্বে the বসে ।

যেমনঃ-  

•        Rabindranath is the Shakespeare of India .
•        Nojrul is the bond of Bangladesh.

R.5:- কোন নির্দিষ্ট স্থান বা নির্দিষ্ট প্রকারের পদার্থ বোঝালে Material noun এর পূর্বে  বসে।

যেমনঃ- 

•        The rice of Barisal is fine .
•        The god of ring is pure.

R.6:- রাস্তার নামের সাথে Road থাকলে the বসে।

যেমনঃ- 

• The Nwappur road is always busy.

 R.7:- প্রথমবার কোনো Noun উল্লেখ করলে A/an বসে কিন্তু দ্বিতীয়বার উল্লেখ করলে the বসে।

যেমনঃ- A man and a woman were sitting opposite me, the man was American but I think the woman was British.

R.8:- Adjective বিশেষ শ্রেণীকে নির্দেশ করলে তার পূর্বে the বসে।

যেমনঃ-

·       The virtuous are always happy.

·       The rich are not always happy.

R.9:- সমগ্র জাতি বোঝাতে singular common noun এর পূর্বে the বসে

যেমনঃ-

·       The cow is a domestic animal.

·       The cat has a tail.

·       The ant is an intelligent insect.

 R.10:- কিন্তু সমগ্র মানবজাতি বোঝাতে Man এবং Woman পূর্বে কোনো article বসে না

·       ___Man is Mortal.

·       ___Women are the poorest of the poor.

R.11:- যে সকল Noun দ্বারা পেশার নাম বোঝায় তার পূর্বে the বসে।

·       He is joined the Army.

R.12:- প্রকৃতিতে যা একটি মাত্র আছে তার পূর্বে the বসে ।

যেমনঃ- চন্দ্র, সূর্য, আকাশ, পৃথিবী(warth), দুনিয়া(universe), বিশ্ব(world)

·       He is tried of the world .

·       Do you see the blue sky?

R.13:-  সমষ্টিবাচক দেশের নামের পূর্বে the বসে।

·       My uncle lives in the USA.

·       The USA (United State of America)

·       The UK (United Kingdom)

·       The UAE

R.14:- কোন কিছুর বিশেষ অংশ বোঝাতে Adjective এর পূর্বে the বসে।

·       I like the yellow of an age.

 R.15:- বাদ্যযন্ত্রের নামের পূর্বে the বসে কিন্তু বাদ্যযন্ত্রবাজানো বুঝাতে Play on থাকলে article বসে না তবে কারো কাছে বাদ্যযন্ত্র থাকা বোঝাতে A/an বসে।

·       I want to buy a piano but I cannot play the piano.

·       He play on____flute.

·       He play the flute.

 R.16:- ক্রমবাচক সংখ্যার পূর্বে the বসে।

·       He is the first boy in the class.

·       Karim is the second boy in his class.

 R.17:- লেখকের নামের দ্বারা যদি বইয়ের নাম বোঝায় তা হলে article বসে না।

·       I need ____ PC Dash.

·       I have read_____Rabindranath.

R.18:- রোগের নামের পূর্বে the বসে না।

·       ____Aids virus infection is incurable.

[ব্যাতিক্রমঃ- The gout, the measles, the mumps]

R.19:- সাধারণত খাবারের সময়ের পূর্বে article বসে।

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper.

 R.20:-ঐতিহাসিক স্থানের পূর্বে the বসে।

·       He visited the Taj Mohol.

 R.21:-ভাষার নামের পূর্বে article বসে না ভাষার নামের সাথে language যুক্ত থাকলে article the বসে। অন্যদিকে জাতি বোঝাতে article the বসে।

·       The English are industries.

·       The English speek ___ English.

·       The English speek the English language.
